Many individuals will feel much better after removing the processed foods, sugars, toxins, etc. from their lives and may not need to pursue treatment of small intestine bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) or small intestine fungal overgrowth (SIFO). However, if you only feel 75% better but still have nagging acid reflux, bloating, bowel urgency, constipation, mood fluctuations (+MANY MORE, including most chronic health conditions) with certain foods, then it would be worth diving into the following video to learn more about how to eradicate SIBO and SIFO with the protocols developed by Dr. William Davis.
The protocols may need to be tailored to fit your individual needs. Perhaps you start with the recommended 10 grams of prebiotics a day, but you cannot handle the amount of stomach gurgling and gas that follows, so then you adjust--maybe you stop prebiotics for a few days and then start back slowing with only a few grams. Maybe you change the type of prebiotic you are consuming (i.e., your stomach blew up like a balloon with legumes. so you decide to switch over to inulin powder). If you eliminate prebiotics early in the protocols, make sure down the line to get them back in! That is what your new healthy microbes want to eat!
